In 1978, the Sexual Abuse Clinic was created by a number of professional therapists trained in the assessment and treatment of sexual offenders, their victims and families. The mission of the clinic is to reduce the risk of sexual abuse by providing services to individuals who have sexual behavior problems and to provide services to victims and families affected by sexual abuse. Since its inception, the clinic has treated more than 10,000 offenders, including over 1,000 youth and adolescents, and over 100 female offenders. Our goal is to prevent harm to the community by the provision of a comprehensive set of scientifically-proven therapies which grant clients access to effective counseling services.

Many  clients come to us fearing judgment or embarrassment. Our philosophy, however, is to treat all clients with respect, regardless of their legal or sexual histories. In addition, we provide services designed to target an individual’s level of risk, needs, and responsiveness. Each individual is unique. He or she may require a variety of treatment combinations in order to achieve success.
